RNC Statement on Filipino American History Month

WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chairman Sharon Day released the following statement marking the beginning of Filipino American History Month:

“During the month of October, we commemorate the many contributions of Americans of Filipino descent to the growth of our nation,” said Chairman Priebus. “The Filipino American community continues to shape our nation’s success. Many Filipino Americans have achieved the American Dream, but many still work hard every day to achieve it. I’m proud to say our party is actively engaged with the Filipino community nationwide, building bridges, strengthening relationships, and listening to their concerns.

“As we look to the future, we remember the impact the Filipino American community has on our nation’s history and our party’s history,” said Co-Chairman Day. Our nation and our party are stronger thanks to the contributions Filipino Americans have made to promoting American’s founding principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
